Latest CGC Graduate – Congrats to Gus!

June 12th, 2011 · 1 Comment · Latest News & Litters

We are excited and proud to announce that we have another Mohr Bouvier Canine Good Citizen. Please join us in congratulating Gus and Bob! Gus is from our very first litter of puppies. His first owner Kathy found herself with some very serious health problems and made that difficult call to us. We started the process of finding Gus a new home. After just one phone call Gus met Bob and they have been together ever since. Bob and Gus have attended obedience classes, agility class and then decided to take the Canine Good Citizen Test. For anyone who knows Gus they were not surprised that he passed the test with flying colors.

So if you find yourself in Trexler Park in Allentown and see Bob and Gus on one of their many walks congratulate our most recent Canine Good Citizen!!

Canine Good Citizen Program and Your Bouvier – A Perfect Fit!

June 12th, 2011 · No Comments · Latest News & Litters

As everyone knows Karl and I feel very strongly about getting your Bouvier trained. There is a way to celebrate all of the hard work you and your Bouvier have done. Think about testing your Bouvier to be a Canine Good Citizen. I am an AKC Approved Evaluator for this program and can evaluate you and your Bouvier. The test can be taken at our farm. All you need to do is contact me and we will schedule a time. The test takes about ½ hour and I promise to make it a fun time for both of you!

In addition to the testing, we also offer Positive Reinforcement Training at our farm. My goal is to have as many Mohr Bouviers take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and pass.

So far Mohr Bouviers is represented in the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program by Houdini, Jethro, Lola, Heffala, Egor and Gus!!

If you have any questions about the program or test please refer to the GCG Program section on our website or feel free to contact us via the inquiry form.

We look forward to expanding our list of CGC Mohr Bouviers.

Jethro Earns His Canine Good Citizenship Certification

September 12th, 2010 · 3 Comments · Latest News & Litters

Not to be out done by his brothers (Houdini and Egor) or sister (Heffala), Jethro (2007 litter) passed his Canine Good Citizen test. It took some work and determination to help Jethro understand that he does not have to constantly be on “high alert” when it comes to a strange dog walking toward us with their owner, but he did it!! That was his single biggest challenge. Being on the farm most of the time, it was difficult for Jethro to allow other dogs to walk up to us while he sat quietly by my side.

It just goes to show that with some work and commitment you can work through any individual challenge your Bouvier may have. Remember this is a very intelligent breed and loves to learn. So get out there and have some fun working together with your dog and achieving this certification (PDF file).

Congratulations Jethro !!!!

Egor Earns His Canine Good Citizenship Certification

September 2nd, 2010 · 2 Comments · Latest News & Litters

Mohr Bouviers is extremely excited to announce Egor (2007 litter) passed his Canine Good Citizen test. Thanks to Kay and Dave for all their hard work and dedication to their dog. Kay and Dave have taken Egor to Raspberry Ridge training facility since he was a puppy and this past weekend took him back to take the Canine Good Citizen test. It is no surprise to us that he passed with flying colors.

This just further verifies the commitment our extended family has to this wonderful breed. We couldn’t be more proud of all of our dogs and especially of those who have gone the extra mile to be a Canine Good Citizen.

Congratulations Kay and Dave and especially EGOR!!!!
